Taiwanese Chicken Stew with Basil

Ingredients 

2 Chicken thighs 

1 Ginger

1 Chili

Basil

1 tbsp Rice Alcohol

1 tbsp Sesame oil

1 tbsp Soy sauce

1/2 tsp Sugar

Steps

  1. Cut chicken thighs to bite-size. Slice ginger, and chop garlic and chili to chunks.

  2. Heat a pan with sesame oil over medium heat to stir-fry ginger first until the smell comes out.

  3. Add garlic and chicken thighs to the pan.

  4. Stir-fry chicken with rice alcohol, soy sauce, sugar, and 50 ml of water.

  5. Turn off the heat until the sauce turns thick and the chicken is fully cooked. Then add basil to the pan and stir it well to add flavor. It’s ready to serve!
